Congratulations 2015 Award Winners

The 50th annual dinner was an opportunity to reflect on some outstandng performances throughout 2015. Also to offer sincere thanks to all who have contributed, notably our main sponsor Jeremy Swan.

Who could forget the afternoon that Ben Stokes made the fastest Test century at Lord’s? At the same time Alex Livie (106*) and Kunaal Kankate (110*) were matching each other in an unbroken 222-run fourth wicket stand against Wealdstone Corinthians.

Alex’s mere two centuries weren’t enough to win the batting award, which went to Kunaal (703 runs at 100.43). Kunaal’s dad Raghu emerged clear best among the bowlers – 35 wickets at 13.09.

Alex deservedly picked up the ‘Champagne Moment’ award for a series of moments with the bat and in the field. Hasan was nominated best fielder, with Tony Harris a clear choice for ‘Most Improved’.

Nic seemed bemused by his ‘Balls Up’ award – perhaps such things don’t exist in New Zealand. And Adam’s initiative in leading crowdfunding for the roller was rightly recognised with the Martin Eckersley Award.
